Lets Talk: CHANEL MÉTIERS D'ART 21/22 BAG COLLECTION

Chanel, the Parisian fashion house, has just released its Métiers d'Art 21/22 Collection, and I have a lot to say about it. This collection is already available on their website, and it will be available in their stores later this month. Let's get started without further ado.

MINI MESSENGER BAG

I'm unsure about how I feel about this purse. I adore the color; the gold hardware contrasts beautifully with the deep blue leather. I believe the fact that the bag's pockets are suede and the rest of the bag is leather is a fun little touch. It's a lovely crossbody bag. It would go well with a model-off-duty look. A basic white blouse and blue jeans, for example. I think this is a pretty simple bag to use. I like the double CCs as well. However, the size bothers me. A card and your car keys are probably the only things that will fit.

MINI FLAP BAG

Immediately no. This purple shade isn't one of my favorites. And the gems were superfluous. The purse is also really petite. Also I do think the straps are maybe too thin for this bag. Chanel could have done a much better job. I'm at a loss for words.

BOY CHANEL SMALL MESSENGER BAG

NO! What even is this?! The color is utterly revolting! The suede does appear to be cheap. The shape appears to be awkward. I've never been a fan of Boy Chanel bags in the first place. And again, why are all of these bags so tiny! Honestly, what waste of money.

SMALL PERSONAL CARE BAG

Wow. You know what? I'm sure it's a beautiful sensory experience. All of the children will want to touch this bag, I'm sure. I don't like the color. There's a lot of shearling, in my opinion. They shouldn't have put that shearling on the straps in the first place. Is it just me, or do the straps appear to be really thin? In any case, I'm not interested.

SMALL PERSONAL CARE BAG

Chanel has a thing for vanity bags and mini bags, as far as I can tell. Why are the bags all so small? The color is not one of my favorites. Also, the straps seem to be really thin! What's so hard about making a bag that's genuinely functional? This bag would be quite inconvenient to use.

SMALL FLAP BAG

Stormi Webster, Kylie Jenner's daughter, would certainly wear this. I like the color; it's a step up from the previous red bag we saw. I really like the small coins on the straps; they're such a lovely touch. The gold hardware works perfectly with the red leather. It has a vintage Chanel vibe to it. The size of this bag is the only thing I don't like about it. Over and over, the same error is made. Apart from that, I'm head over heels in love with this bag!

CLASSIC HANDBAG

My inner silver hater has risen. The combination of silver and black gives me a gothic vibe. It irritates me that the straps are so thin! Chanel appears to have pasted on some crushed tin foil and thought it good enough (it really isn't.) This isn't my favorite.

SMALL FLAP BAG

This appears to be a cheap disco ball. The straps are, once again, excessively thin, and the color of the straps is so nasty and cheap-looking that I can't imagine wearing them. Hideous is all I can think of.

CHANEL 19 BAG

It appears to be a picnic blanket. The silver and gold straps are tacky. The only aspect of this bag that is decent is its size.
