Vogue's June/July 2022 Cover Featuring British Music Sensation Dua Lipa photographed by Tyler Mitchell & styled by Jorden Bickhem
I really do not know how to feel about this cover. I don't know what is happening with this cover. Dua herself looks stunning! The eyeshadow is on fleek but I'm not sure about everything else. What are they trying to do with the background? Like.. is it supposed to be minimalistic or some "home"? The chair looks like its holding on for dear life, the walls are so dull & depressing, the floor looks like a bunch of cork boards glued together, the curtain is absolutely useless, & for the outfit... I have no words. And not in an "OMG LOOK AT BLAKE LIVELY'S MET GALA LOOK" kind of "I have no words"... it's the opposite. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that outfit. I'm trying hard to like this cover but I just can't. It's not giving what it's supposed to be giving. Like it's not "Dua Lipa". It's giving Kendall Jenner. American Vogue seriously needs to step it up now. I wish Vogue could re-create the old iconic covers. The past American Vogue covers have been so... bland. Vogue is letting us down as per usual.
But that's all just my opinion. What do you guys think about this upcoming Vogue cover?
